www.youtube.com 05/09/2012 RevolutionNews.US — Transparency? Obama Is Screening Youtube Channel Comments on http President Obama's campaign appears to be censoring viewer comments on the YouTube presentation of "The Road We've Traveled," the 17-minute campaign documentary about the Obama presidency, with positive comments outnumbering negative by more than five to one. Obama has staked a claim to conducting an "openness" presidency, with the White House frequently touting measures it says increase transparency. But not on his campaign's YouTube channel. As of 9 am ET this morning, 84 of the last 100 comments could be construed as supportive, while 16 were negative. Many of the negative comments are benign. More than a third didn't even directly criticize the president, arguing instead that General Motors should not have been bailed out by the government. The positive comments were sometimes ecstatic in their support for Obama and the largely hagiographic video, which went up on YouTube March 15. Among the tributes are "My President is an amazing human being," "Truly one of the greatest President's ever," "So majestic," and "Thank God we have presidents like this." As Wednesday sees Barack Obama voice his support for same-sex marriage, this evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomed a host of experts and analysts, celebrities, and journalists, all charged with detailing and debating one of America's most-polarizing social issues. Joining Piers Morgan live for a face to face discussion, Chad Griffin explained the impact of the president's stance: "Every single night, LGBT people get in their beds, turn out the light, and instead of closing their eyes, and going to sleep like their friends, and their parents, and their colleagues, they stay awake and stare at the ceiling fearing the next day," revealed the incoming President of the Human Rights Campaign. "What the President of the United States said today — the first President of the United States said today — is that he cares for them. He is their president, he is standing up for them and he believes that they too are equal under the law. And that is incredibly significant." Representing the other side of the debate, Bill Donohue took a decidedly different approach to today's news: "Obama has always liked the idea of two men getting married. He had to change, because he wanted to become president and he said he invoked his Christian moorings," said the Catholic League President. "Now today he had to wiggle with that." Watch the clip, and listen to the interviews, as Donohue presents an example about which Griffin responds: "I find what he's saying to be ridiculous." —

Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by pattya22
depends if it’s your first car/first insurance. When I got my license I was 18 and got a cheap, used car and my insurance was 90 dollars a month. But then insurance for guys is a little steeper. Call an insurance place and ask them for an estimate

Question by : What is the movie where a woman crosses a hallway from one room to another and drops her towel?
I remember seeing a movie as a kid where a woman crosses a hallway from one room to another and she gets startled by something and drops her towel. I am not sure but I am almost certain that it was a children’s movie and remember thinking at the time that it shouldn’t have been in a PG movie. This would have been mid-90′s when I saw this movie. Anybody recall what movie it is? It’s been driving me nuts.

Published Monday, Apr 23 2012, 02:34 BST | By Zeba Blay | Add commentEmail this storyTed Nugent‘s scheduled performance at the Fort Knox base in Kentucky has been cancelled.

Army officials have now removed Nugent from the bill of a concert in June in light of recent comments regarding US president Barack Obama, who is running for re-election.

Ted Nugent Barack Obama

A statement posted to an official Fort Knox Facebook page read: “After learning of opening act Ted Nugent’s recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation”.

The 63-year-old musician was scheduled to make an appearance at Fort Knox on June 23, as part of the ‘Midwest Rock n’ Roll Express’ tour featuring Nugent, REO Speedwagon, and Styx.

During a speech at a National Rifle Association (NRA) convention in St. Louis, Missouri, Nugent stated that he would “either be dead or in jail by this time next year” if Obama were to be re-elected.

Nugent stood by his comments, stating that he meant no harm towards the president with his words.

He has since met with members of the Secret Service in order to clear up language that some critics believed alluded to violence against Obama.

Co-headliners REO Speedwagon and Styx are still due to perform.

Look what the cat dragged in on the latest political front: Rocker Ted “Cat Scratch Fever” Nugent.

Commanders at Fort Knox in Kentucky recently uninvited Nugent from performing at a concert in June after poorly chosen words — yet again — on his part about President barack Obama and his fellow Democrats. Not that Nugent is ever very eloquent in his choice of words.

The conservative rocker, known more these days as an avid hunter, produced another gem at a National Rifle Association rally, when he tried to incite crowds with talk of chopping off Democrats’ heads. He recommended how we, as reasonable Americans, should just start decapitating them, as if we were part of Genghis Khan’s army.

Heck, perhaps we also should mount their heads on poles and line the National Mall with them, imagining the Tower of London somewhere in the distance.

Nugent spewed out in his rocker vitriol that he will be either dead or in jail next year if Obama is re-elected (a comment that caught the attention of the Secret Service) and that we need to “clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration.”

With those kinds of threatening fightin’ words, it’s no surprise at all that a military installation would dump Nugent from its roster. It’s called the Dixie Chicks effect. The backlash was so swift against the hottest trio in country music and lead singer Natalie Maines’ comments about President George W. Bush that their career was ended right then.

And their comments were much less violent than Nugent’s.

The Dixie Chicks said they were “embarrassed” by the president. They didn’t go nearly as far as threatening anything as violent as decapitating people, jail or death. The Dixie Chicks’ comment had many of their fans shaking their fingers at the trio, saying how they don’t have to agree with the president but at least should respect the office of the president.

The same could be said to Nugent.

Like him or not, the president is the commander in chief. The office comes with that title.

Such imagery, in fitting with his hunting lifestyle, isn’t new for Nugent. Remember five years ago at a concert, when he told Obama to suck his machine gun?

Nice.

While in this country, we welcome healthy political debate — whatever side of the political spectrum we fall on — to do it in a public forum with such violent words isn’t the smartest thing to do.

Sure, Ted, we know you hate the president. We know you hate the Democrats. And that’s perfectly OK. You have the right to do so.

But decapitations? Death?

Even Mitt Romney, who welcomed Nugent’s support originally, wanted to distance himself from those kinds of images.

The better speech would have been to rally supporters to get to the polls and vote for his candidate. Or to volunteer hours to a particular political campaign.

It’s usually what most politically charged people like to do, because in the end, most of us won’t be grabbing our dueling pistols or swords when Election Day comes.

We’ll be checking a box.
