Question by El Derado: What would happen the USA were to impose an Embargo with both China and Russia?

How could the USA compensate for the massive quantity of imports that come in from China?

Also what effects would this have on the rest of the world?

Would this be an effective non militant way of gaining control over a cold conflict? Why or Why not? Would the USA have to use military forces as a result of this action?
